Team HKEX got right down to business this morning with an early panel discussion on what stakeholder capitalism means in Asia.
HKEX Chairman Laura Cha was joined by Chairman and CEO of South Korea’s SK Group Chey Tae-Won, American economist Joseph Stiglitz, and the Chairman of Marubeni Corp in Japan Fumiya Kokubu.
Cha talked about HKEX’s commitment to strengthening ESG reporting in recent years, why sustainability should be a Board priority, and why HKEX was taking a leadership role in promoting stakeholder capitalism as a market operator and listed company.
