Davos is famous for attracting business and political leaders from around the world. Over the last 50 years, they have come to discuss global challenges, seek solutions and set the global agenda for the years ahead.
With such a high profile guest list, you never know who you might run into.
That was the case today for HKEX Chief Executive Charles Li, who bumped into US President Donald J. Trump following Trump’s address to the Annual Meeting whilst attending the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council. The pair shook hands and chatted briefly,
Li said the encounter is part of what makes Davos unique.
For us, going to Davos is all about making connections, putting HKEX on the map and promoting Hong Kong’s vibrant financial markets. In doing this, I am lucky to get to meet a whole host of impressive business and political leaders, and today that included the President of the USA! Not your average day at work!
